Just because language has "evolved" and TV mores have loosened,it does not mean our society needs to condone that which our ancestors knew to be wrong. Hearing curse words on TV leads young people to think (erroneously) that it is all right to use these words. Not so in wellbrought-up families.
Once you raise someone's consciusness to the point that THEY can finally hear what they are saying, they can begin to work on the process of changing their use of rude and unjust words.This I know for experience .

Good advice... Though I don't hate them for swearing and cursing every time they make a sentence, I would prefer people not to curse cos even if what they mean aren't bad, I tend to lose interest in what they're saying.

I teach high school behavioral children. They are very bad about this. I point it out, I remind them, I try to give them alternatives, sometimes to no avail. But there are those few that actually hear me and may say, "I didn't know I said that" and my pointing it out to them is enough for them to listen to what they are saying. Well, at least in my classroom! Peace Angel
